Photoshoot and Audition(s)

So I forgot to tell you guys in my update that I also did a photoshoot on Sunday for a designer's look book. Her name is Jerusha and her designs were super cute! I'll get the images from that shoot sometime next week and I'll definitely post it.

Last night I auditioned via The Network with Sheryl Baker Fisher from One Life to Live. I ran into a coworker from my day job there. Random. Sheryl was really nice and easygoing and I presented myself in all my upbeat quirktasticness. I read her cold sides with the choices I'd made in the waiting room and then she gave a slight alteration and I felt really good after doing it her way. The brief interview that followed was breezy and nice. I left feeling like I gave it my best and I'm just happy with it. I was SO GLAD to have a good audition after my yucky ones from before! I'm baaaaack!!!!

I have an audition tomorrow evening, and another on Saturday afternoon both for student films. Then on Friday night I have a reading and meeting of a short film that a writer friend of mine is putting together. This indie will be submitted to the BET festival so that'll be cool.

Update...

Since I last wrote....

I had that voiceover audition via The Network a few weeks back. I bombed it. I was anxious and stressed out and it showed in my performance. I had a plan that I didn't execute and I was just off. Blah.

I went to Sweden and Denmark! It was awesome.

I came back and missed two audis as well as days at work due to a messy leak in my bedroom and inept plumbers/contractors...it was a big mess, but was finally fixed this weekend!!

I've been submitting and hopefully will get some audition calls soon.

I'm meeting with a soap CD through the network today and next week with a Commercial CD.

::SIGH::

OK, Two audis today.

First was for a webseries - I BOMBED it. I was so off...I didn't know what the hell I was saying or doing..it was disconnected, low energy, and I felt myself spiraling downwards but had no way to rectify. It was the epitome of a hot mess audition.

Upside - I met some nice girls in the waiting room, including meeting in person the adorable actress Andrea Bordeaux (google her) that I've spoken to (via facebook, the ultimate 'friendmaker') online.

Second I didn't even get to audition. I found out they're shooting while I'll be on vacation. They seemed very nice though and they took my headshot/resume and my biz cards so maybe we'll see each other again in the future.

Upside - .....um.....well, no upside really for that one.

What else....Oh! I have an audition tonight via the network, with a voiceover CD, so I'm excited about that.

Small Update...

I was supposed to start rehearsals this week for the radio soap opera, but they're being rescheduled. 

I edited one of the images from the free shoot in June:

 

It's not bad, I think I'll use it on the web and maybe on my next round of postcards or biz cards.  

So I've contacted a few photographers to meet with to get my paid headshot shoot with.

I have one audition on Wednesday this week for a webseries so far and a seminar with a voiceover casting director through the network on Thursday.

My real goal this week is to submit like crazy and not explode with vacation anticipation.
