SHOOT:
This past Saturday I shot my scenes for a funny short film called Shirt Terminators. It was a very easy day, short day, and the cast/crew were all very nice. The vibe on set was that of a group of people who had known and worked together for a very long time. I can't wait to get my reel footage from that project.
I was just updating my resume and found my original resume from April 2008. It was a shock to see. It was like size 16 font or something! There were very few lines of credits and a big ass paragraph of "special skills" some of which I haven't done since H.S. days. One of the film credits was even a featured extra role (which has since been removed, don't yell at me!).
It was May of 2008 that I decided to make moves and take my acting more seriously and I am so glad I did. I'm super proud of the progress I've made since then. The progress visible on my resume is gratifying, but the intangibles are even better. My knowledge of the industry protocol, dos/donts has grown tremendously. My confidence and skill has had a hearty boost as well. My knowledge of my self and the role I play in the industry has grown a lot too. I now know how to better market myself and bit by bit I'm learning even more. I am NOWHERE near even the outskirts of where I want to be career-wise or even skill-wise...but I just feel so good to look back at where I was. It's almost as nice looking at what I've come from as it is to dream about where I'm going.
A Bonnie article about setting goals just popped in my head for some reason. I'm going to work on some goals for 2010 and share them here later.

It's always great to look back and see how much we've grown! Can't wait to hear your goals for 2010.
It truly is. PS I wanna hear yours too!
It's great to hear how much progress you're making. The path of an actor's life is so different from that of a more traditional career. We get so much rejection and have to deal with so much while watching our friends make it to the milestones of the conventional life. We may not be where we want to be yet but every new credit just makes it that much sweeter. It's enough to go out and celebrate about because it's those progessions now matter how small that show our growth
